The realms came up at 9pm. We had more than eight people, but since only eight would fit, Fuzzy was initially left out. We started with
Me- Orb/tele/static Sorc
Acx- Hammerdin
Gheki- Hammerdin
DM- Necro
Mainer/JackQuilly - Zon
Gand- Fire sorc?
Maximus/Froggy (someone I met through the Guitar Hero forums)- Leap Barb (Leap needs to be NERFED, btw).
Alejandro/FtL- Tornado/Oak Sage Druid (Maximus' friend)

This is the first pic I took. We were two hours into the run in Act 3 normal, having lost about 15 minutes to some fucked up map layout where there was no spider cavern in the spider forest! Mainer had just died (Fuzzy/sorcxtreme) took his place:



We flew through act 4, and then Gand died teleporting in Ancients Way.

When we were in the WSK, someone told us that another group got Baal already. We were only about 5 minutes behind:



It took until 12:30 (3.5 hours) to get through Normal, and we ran Baal for about half an hour, then moved on to NM around 1 am. We were in the early 40's:



We flew through NM, as I teleported through pretty much everything. It only took until 2:30 (1.5 hours) to get through Baal. We were the first Conquerors (Fuzzy quit right after Lister for some unexplained reason):



We ran NM Baal for an hour (until 3:30) and then headed off to Hell:



I did my best to teleport us through, getting us through act 1 and 2 pretty quickly. I was a little more tentative with teleporting in act 3, 4, and 5, but still did what I could to get us through as fast as possible. It was getting to be really late at this point, and I was getting extremely tired. A shako dropped on Durance 3! We worked through Act 4 and 5 and finally, at 7am, we killed Baal:



We were only about 15 minutes behind the Softcore group and we were the first Guardians on any realm. 10 hour marathon FtW!

I think we could shave about an hour off if we pimped out the teleport bitch. But for now, thr time to beat is 10 hours.

great write up, i got over 60 ladder pictures, but those where all key points of the race.

I will defenetly do this again if its in 6 months.

I want to figure out how to take direct video capture on the pc so I could have made a 10 hour movie. Maybe I could speed it up to make it watchable.

Or maybe I could just set up a script to take a screenshot every second and I could make a flip--book?

Should drop the Zon next time for a conviction paladin, I recently saw one with max conviction. And wow, the monsters dropped like flies.

They dropped like flies anyway. What held us up was getting through tedious shit, not killing speed.

Although it wouldn't hurt.

i was gonna get convic, but meh i found more use keeping salv on haha.

plus there wasnt enough elemental shit for convic with that party later on anyways.
