Reminds me of when I found a -req zweihander with just over a 100 1h dmg on classic. I made a crazy fun sprinter s/s barb that I would duel and pk with.

I also had some crazy 49 1h dmg warhammer with like lvl 18 or something requirement. I racked up so many ears with that chargerdin.

i know this is out of no where but I Just had some crazy flash back of how cool d2 was when iceblink unique splint mail would freeze all mobs with whirlwind it was even cooler. i played d2 for easily 4 years, i think i played d3 for about 4 minutes.

I got to thinking about that too recently. Look at all of us, here on a forum all because of a game that's 13 years old. Why? Because games like d2 don't come around too much anymore.

I'd say the closest thing to a d2 community I've seen lately is Eve online. That's because the devs made a game the way they wanted rather than milk a cash cow.

Games used to be hard. I rarely would beat a Nintendo game. Now people go through most games in a couple hours then move onto the next.
